The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK's largest trade unions. A vacancy exists for a Membership Supervisor based at the Union’s Head Office. Please note that this position is fully office based.

The principal duties are:
- To support efficient and effective membership records management and contribution services to the Union as a member of the Records Section.
- Overseeing staff in the Records Section and ensuring membership and contribution information is comprehensive and accurate in line with Union rules and Government regulations.
The successful applicant will possess:
- Knowledge of Direct Debit, Union benefits, BACs payments and associated banking procedures.
- Ability to use membership computer systems and associated databases; experience of Oracle databases is essential, as well as knowledge of iMIS.
- Experience of performance management including co-ordinating, supervising and mentoring staff, recognising and responding when help and support is required.
- Experience of managing confidential and sensitive information and a clear understanding of the impact of data protection legislation on a membership service.
- The ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and have well-developed planning and organisation skills.
- Strong computer literacy and keyboard skills, including Microsoft 365 suite and databases.
