The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK's largest trade unions. A vacancy exists for a Researcher based at the Union’s Head Office.

What we Offer:

The principal duties are:

  • To provide advice and information on employee relations, employment, political, economic, and social issues
  • Support the Union's campaigning work as required
  • Provide a support service to National Officers as required
  • Provide a central support service advising members, reps and officials on Tesco-specific issues

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A degree in a relevant area or equivalent experience in the Trade Union and Labour Movement
  • A working knowledge of employment law and equalities issues
  • Effective communication
  • IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, as well as online information sources and Tesco specific systems
  • The ability to produce reports
