The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK’s largest trade unions. Two vacancies exist for a Membership Administrator and Temporary Membership Administrator (Contract upto 12 months) based at the Union’s Head Office. What we Offer: * Flexitime * 34 hours week * Defined contribution pension. * Generous holiday entitlement – 24 days rising to 32 days plus bank and customary holidays (pro-rata to commencing month in holiday year and number of days a week worked). * Free onsite parking, subject to availability. * Cycle to Work Scheme (subject to passing probation and length of contract). * Season Ticket Loan (subject to length of contract). * Free health assessments (post probation). Principal duties are: to support efficient and effective membership records management and contribution services to the Union as part of the Records Section, ensuring membership and contribution information is comprehensive and accurate in line with Union rules and Government regulations. The successful applicant will possess: experience of general office practices and procedures preferably within a membership or customer service environment; effective communication; IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office applications and databases; strong data management and high standards of customer service provision; a methodical approach and attention to detail; the ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines and a flexible approach to work.
