Are you an experienced Private Medical Insurance adviser with a background in policy switching, renewals or retention? Usay Compare is expanding its specialist PMI switch capability and is looking for experienced advisers who can review existing cover, navigate switch underwriting and help customers make informed decisions about moving insurer.
The Opportunity:
- You'll speak with customers who already hold Private Medical Insurance and are considering their options, often following a renewal increase or change in circumstances.
- Using a consultative fact-find, you'll review their existing policy, medical underwriting position, claims history and priorities before comparing suitable alternatives from across our insurer panel.
- This is about more than price. You'll help customers understand the implications of switching, including differences in underwriting, exclusions, benefits, hospital access, excesses and policy terms.
What You'll Do:
- Advise existing PMI policyholders considering switching insurer.
- Review current cover, renewal premiums, claims history and customer objectives.
- Complete detailed fact-finds and assess whether switching is appropriate.
- Work with switch underwriting arrangements, including Continued Personal Medical Exclusions and continued moratorium terms where available.
- Compare insurers and key policy benefits to make clear, suitable recommendations.
- Manage applications from initial enquiry through to policy inception.
- Deliver strong customer outcomes while achieving quality, compliance and sales targets.
About You:
- You'll ideally have previous advised sales experience within UK individual Private Medical Insurance.
- Practical experience of insurer-to-insurer PMI switches.
- A sound understanding of switch underwriting, continuity of cover, CPME, moratorium and full medical underwriting.
- Experience reviewing claims, exclusions and existing policy terms before making recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of individual PMI products and insurer propositions.
- Excellent consultative questioning and objection-handling skills.
- A proven record against sales, quality and compliance measures.
- A customer-focused approach, resilience and motivation to maximise your earning potential.
- Renewals or retention experience is particularly relevant where you have reviewed alternative insurers and completed advised switch business.
Why Join Us?
- Alongside a £35,000 basic salary and uncapped commission with realistic OTE of £70,000–£100,000+, you'll benefit from high-quality inbound customer opportunities with no cold calling.
- An established insurer panel and strong lead flow.
- Structured induction and ongoing product, underwriting and compliance development.
- Career progression opportunities.
- Life Assurance at four times basic salary.
- Group Income Protection.
- Pension with a 6% employer contribution.
- 26 days' holiday plus bank holidays.
- Performance incentives, a paid volunteering day and additional lifestyle benefits.
