Position Summary

The HVAC Construction Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, developers, and building owners to drive profitable HVAC & plumbing construction projects.

This mid-level role focuses on project-based sales, territory growth, and long-term account management while collaborating with estimating, engineering, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and close HVAC & plumbing construction opportunities within an assigned territory.
  • Develop new contractor and GC relationships while expanding existing accounts.
  • Track projects through planning, bidding, and award phases using a CRM software.

Project & Bid Management

  • Support bid and proposal development with estimating and engineering teams. • Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work. • Assist with pricing strategy and negotiations.
  • Relationship Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers. • Build long-term trust with decision-makers.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with project managers and operations for smooth handoff. • Communicate schedules, scope, and expectations.

Sales Administration

  • Maintain CRM records and sales forecasts. • Meet assigned revenue and margin targets.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of HVAC or mechanical construction sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC & plumbing systems and construction workflows.
  • Experience with construction drawings and bid processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling to mechanical contractors or GCs.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or Construction Management.
