An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Guidewire Transformation Director to take a leading role in delivering a major technology modernisation programme within the insurance sector.

The Opportunity
As Guidewire Transformation Director, you will take ownership of complex transformation initiatives involving Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter.
Working closely with executive leadership, technology specialists and business stakeholders, you will translate strategic ambitions into measurable outcomes, ensuring programmes deliver sustainable improvements in efficiency, scalability and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and overall leadership for enterprise-wide Guidewire transformation initiatives.
- Establish and maintain robust programme governance, financial oversight, delivery milestones and performance measures.
- Partner with senior executives and business leaders to ensure transformation activities support wider organisational objectives.
- Champion business and operational change, including process optimisation, target operating models and organisational readiness.
- Coordinate interconnected delivery streams spanning technology, architecture, data, integrations, testing and implementation.
- Ensure solution design and delivery follow Guidewire standards, architectural principles and industry best practices.
- Direct relationships with external technology providers, implementation partners and specialist consultancies.
- Build, mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering accountability, collaboration and delivery excellence.
- Anticipate programme risks, resolve complex dependencies and maintain transparent communication with executive stakeholders.
- Oversee deployment readiness, user adoption, knowledge transfer and transition into business-as-usual operations.
Experience & Expertise
We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who can demonstrate:
- Significant leadership experience delivering major Guidewire implementation, modernisation or transformation programmes.
- Extensive knowledge of Guidewire's core insurance platforms, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter.
- A strong track record within general insurance, specialty insurance or the wider InsurTech ecosystem.
- Previous experience operating at Transformation Director, Programme Director or equivalent senior leadership level.
- Success managing complex programmes involving multiple business functions, geographic regions and delivery partners.
- Commercial and financial accountability for substantial transformation budgets and programme outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of modern insurance technology landscapes, cloud adoption and enterprise digital transformation.
- The confidence and credibility to engage and influence CIOs, CTOs, COOs and other executive decision-makers.
Additional Expertise That Would Be Advantageous
- Delivery experience involving Guidewire Cloud migrations or cloud-native implementations.
- Understanding of complex data migration strategies, enterprise integrations and API-led architecture.
- Practical experience delivering transformation through scaled Agile methodologies, including SAFe.
- Relevant Guidewire accreditations, programme management qualifications or transformation certifications.
