One of our leading clients are seeking for Trading Business Analyst for a 6 to 12 months contract opportunity in London, UK.
Role Objectives
The Trading BA will be a key member of the Digital Trading vertical, collaborating with the Digital Trading desk to develop our algorithmic and systematic trading portfolio. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Senior Traders and Developers to help them achieve their commercial objectives whilst building a platform to support the development of algo trading solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Optimising day to day operational capability of Digital Trading including trade execution, position management, Trade Capture, Product Configuration and algo order submission.
- Performing in-depth business analysis of applications in accordance with the business needs.
Experience
- Proven knowledge and experience in Energy Trading arena (ideally Gas and Power trading, although LNG Trading would also be of interest).
- Previous experience of electronic trading, real time position monitoring and PNL reconciliation is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable Business Analysis experience in a trading environment ideally an energy (or commodity) trading company or consultancy (ideally European markets or global perspective).
- Experience of specifying and writing user specifications and business requirements for algorithmic trading and/or quant development teams is essential.
- Experience of requirement elicitation techniques such as facilitating workshops, interviews, prototyping and document analysis.
- Experience of working with iterative development methodologies such as Agile.
- Demonstrable experience of coordinating complex projects/initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering energy trading or energy supplier software.
