We are looking for an accomplished Head of Development to join on a permanent role in Manchester, operating in a hybrid model (2–3 days onsite). This role is ideal for a technology leader who can drive strategy, manage high-performing development teams, and deliver scalable, secure, and innovative software solutions that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor software development teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions
- Establish and enforce software engineering standards and development best practices
- Drive automation, CI/CD, and DevOps to improve efficiency and speed to market
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical roadmaps
- Oversee architecture, design, and resource planning to ensure maintainability and scalability
- Proven leadership in managing and scaling software development teams
- Strong expertise in C# and .NET development, including REST API design
- Deep understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native development, preferably on Azure
- Ability to balance multiple projects while upholding technical excellence
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
