For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced HVDC Automation Test Engineer for a long contract based in Stafford, UK

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated testing frameworks.
- Create and maintain test automation strategies and plans.
- Develop automation scripts following company standards and best practices.
- Support the development and enhancement of in-house automation tools.
- Execute automated tests for applications involving PSCAD and MATLAB environments.
- Analyze test failures and communicate findings to engineering teams.
- Perform test execution and generate comprehensive test reports.
- Drive automation initiatives to maximize testing efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements, introducing new tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate effectively with software development and validation teams.
- Support global projects and participate in cross-functional engineering activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Automation, or related discipline).
- Knowledge of power systems and power electronics, or equivalent experience in embedded system testing.
- Experience in automation testing across industrial or engineering domains.
- Experience working with test frameworks for embedded systems.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel globally and work flexible hours when required.
