Job Description – SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer (NextGen / Clean Core)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer with proven, hands‑on expertise in modern “NextGen” development frameworks. This role is strictly for developers who have real S/4HANA project experience, aligned with Clean Core, cloud‑ready extensibility, and RAP‑based application development.

Candidates with ECC‑heavy or outdated experience will not be shortlisted.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Build and enhance CDS Views (basic, interface, consumption) and OData services.
• Implement Key User and Developer Extensibility aligned to SAP’s Clean Core principles.
• Work with released S/4HANA APIs for integration and extension.
• Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot S/4HANA applications using SAP BAS (Business Application Studio).
• Perform Fiori Adaptation Projects (mandatory requirement).
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to SAP’s Clean Core guidelines and modern development standards.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and continuous improvement activities.

Must‑Have Skills (Mandatory)

These are strict filters — candidates lacking any of these will be rejected.

• Recent and hands‑on S/4HANA development experience (not theoretical, not ECC migration‑only).
• Key User + Developer Extensibility experience.
• Strong experience in:

• CDS Views
• Released S/4HANA APIs
• Fiori Adaptation Project experience (critical interview filter).
• Hands‑on experience with SAP BAS.
