Project Manager – (Technology Transformation):

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Project Manager – Programme (Technology Transformation) for a long contract based in Manchester Area, United Kingdom.

Overview

Programme is a large-scale, transformational initiative aimed at modernizing the Market-to-Cash (M2C) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) technologies. This involves implementing a modern tech stack that includes market-leading CRM platforms, integration tools , and industry-specific applications using a hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodology executed by multiple vendors.

Key Objectives of the Role

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from design through to delivery, aligned with governance frameworks and stage gates.
  • Ensure timely, on-budget, and quality delivery of project milestones.
  • Coordinate a complex ecosystem of internal stakeholders and external multi-vendor partners.
  • Drive the business transformation and change adoption across global regions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Coordination

  • Develop and oversee detailed project plans.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Act as the main liaison between business and technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with:
  • Business Change Lead – to ensure effective adoption across teams.
  • Communications Lead – to drive transparent and timely communications.

2. Design Management

  • Lead the design governance and integration across functions and vendors.
  • Schedule and structure design workshops.
  • Ensure stakeholder readiness and buy-in.
  • Review and approve designs with external consultants and internal teams.

3. Budget & Resource Management

  • Build and manage a robust project budget.
  • Align financials with the expected business case outcomes.
  • Allocate and manage resources (people, time, and tools).
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to senior management.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

  • Maintain effective relationships with regional and vendor stakeholders.
  • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction while achieving project objectives.
  • Deliver progress reports and updates to senior management.
  • Handle issues, conflicts, and escalations.

5. Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Lead quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement throughout the project.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field .
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Certifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 highly desirable.

Experience

  • Proven experience managing large-scale transformational projects .
  • Hands-on experience in design phase management .
  • Ability to manage cross-functional, international teams .
  • Proficient in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experienced with tools like Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps , etc.
