We are looking for a highly communicative Data Insights Consultant who combines strong technical data expertise with the ability to engage confidently with business stakeholders.
This is not a traditional Data Analyst role focused solely on reporting, nor is it a Business Analyst position.
Instead, we're looking for a T-shaped consultant—someone with deep data expertise complemented by excellent consulting and stakeholder management skills.
You will work closely with internal business teams to understand their objectives, challenge requirements where appropriate, and translate business needs into well-designed analytical solutions.
While dedicated engineers will be responsible for dashboard development and technical implementation, you will play a key role in shaping data models, designing reporting solutions and ensuring the business receives meaningful, actionable insights.
Success in this role relies just as much on your communication, influencing and consulting skills as your technical capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
- Build trusted relationships with internal clients, confidently managing conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Translate business objectives into scalable data and reporting solutions.
- Design semantic data models that support robust Power BI reporting.
- Define data provisioning requirements and work closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality data delivery.
- Collaborate with Power BI developers and data engineers throughout solution delivery.
- Guide dashboard design, information architecture and reporting best practice.
- Challenge assumptions and recommend improvements to existing reporting processes.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Promote data-driven decision making across the organisation.
