For one of my leading Insuretech clients we are seeking an experienced Guidewire Transformation Director to lead and deliver large-scale insurance transformation programmes. This role is responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end transformation strategy across Guidewire platforms (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter), ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational efficiency, and long‑term digital capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end transformation strategy and delivery of Guidewire programmes across the organisation.
- Own programme governance, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and aligned to business outcomes.
- Act as the senior interface between C‑suite stakeholders, business units, and technology teams.
- Drive business transformation, including process redesign, operating model evolution, and change management.
- Oversee multiple workstreams (business, technology, data, integration, testing, and deployment).
- Ensure alignment with Guidewire best practices and target architecture.
- Manage third‑party vendors, system integrators, and delivery partners.
- Lead programme teams, including Programme Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Delivery Leads.
- Drive risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication at executive level.
- Ensure successful adoption and business readiness, including training, UAT, and post‑implementation support.
Required Experience
- Proven experience leading large-scale Guidewire transformation programmes (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter).
- Strong background in insurance / InsurTech environments.
- Demonstrated experience at Director / Programme Director level, leading complex, multi‑country programmes.
- Experience managing budgets, governance, and delivery across global teams.
- Strong understanding of digital transformation, cloud, and modern insurance platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including CIO, CTO, COO, and business leadership engagement.
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud transformations.
- Background in data migration, integration architecture, and API‑driven ecosystems.
- Experience with Agile at scale (SAFe or similar frameworks).
- Guidewire certifications or relevant transformation credentials.
- Strategic leadership with a hands‑on delivery mindset.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive business value.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to operate in fast‑paced, complex transformation environments.
