We are seeking a Field Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and commission PLC and SCADA systems across water utility assets. You will support treatment works, pumping stations, reservoirs, and associated infrastructure, ensuring reliability of control systems critical to safe water operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair PLC control systems
- Support SCADA systems including alarms, HMI screens, and telemetry
- Investigate faults affecting pumps, valves, VFDs, and instrumentation
- Modify PLC logic and control sequences where required
- Commission new equipment, control panels, and automation upgrades
- Maintain industrial communication systems (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, telemetry)
Essential Criteria:
- Experience with Siemens PLCs
- SCADA experience (Wonderware, Ignition, or WinCC)
- Knowledge of Modbus or industrial networks
- Experience with pumps, VFDs, or instrumentation
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel regionally and participate in standby rota
