The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organisation’s systems, data, and infrastructure from cyber threats. The role supports cyber security governance, incident response, risk management, and the promotion of a strong security culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor systems, networks, and security tools for cyber threats and suspicious activity.
  • Investigate, manage, and document security incidents, including root cause analysis and recovery support.
  • Support and enforce information and cyber security policies and controls.
  • Work with third-party providers to detect, respond to, and prevent security incidents.
  • Monitor identity and access management and investigate misuse of permissions.
  • Produce cyber security reporting, including incident metrics, risks, and compliance.
  • Support audits and ensure timely remediation of findings.
  • Stay informed on emerging threats and recommend risk mitigation measures.
  • Promote cyber security awareness and provide advice and guidance across the business.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a cyber security role.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, and EDR.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Relevant cyber security qualifications or certifications.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and networks.
