The role involves supporting the design and development of innovative drug delivery devices across the product pipeline and portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support for the design and development of drug delivery devices for the pipeline and portfolio of products.
- Carrying out technical assessments for drug delivery devices, including tolerance analysis, functional performance mathematical modelling, and FEA simulations.
- Carrying out detailed design for components and systems (including 3D CAD and engineering drawings) from prototype stage to commercial tooling.
- Inputting into Design for Manufacture review of components and devices.
- Demonstrating compliance with SDDC’s Quality Management System.
- Reporting of technical complaints/adverse events/special case scenarios related to products within 24 hours of receipt.
Qualifications:
- Experience of developing high-volume products, ideally medical or drug delivery devices.
- High level of proficiency in 3D CAD systems; preferably SolidWorks.
- Experience and knowledge of Tolerance Analysis.
- Technical writing skills.
- Understanding of quality control and risk management.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and good DFMA skills.
- Masters, PhD, or university degree in the field of engineering or other relevant subjects.
