The role involves supporting the design and development of innovative drug delivery devices across the product pipeline and portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support for the design and development of drug delivery devices for the pipeline and portfolio of products.
  • Carrying out technical assessments for drug delivery devices, including tolerance analysis, functional performance mathematical modelling, and FEA simulations.
  • Carrying out detailed design for components and systems (including 3D CAD and engineering drawings) from prototype stage to commercial tooling.
  • Inputting into Design for Manufacture review of components and devices.
  • Demonstrating compliance with SDDC’s Quality Management System.
  • Reporting of technical complaints/adverse events/special case scenarios related to products within 24 hours of receipt.

Experience and qualifications required:

  • Experience of developing high-volume products, ideally medical or drug delivery devices.
  • High level of proficiency in 3D CAD systems; preferably SolidWorks.
  • Experience and knowledge of Tolerance Analysis.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Understanding of quality control and risk management.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes and good DFMA skills.
  • Masters, PhD, or university degree in the field of engineering or other relevant subjects.
