We are looking for an experienced Real-Time VFX Artist to join an expanding game development team working on immersive interactive experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring menus and gameplay moments to life through rich, dynamic visual effects within a high-performance real-time environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, implement and optimise high-quality UI and gameplay VFX
- Create original textures, meshes, sprite sheets and shaders
- Build effects using Unity’s VFX Graph, Particle Systems, Timeline and Animation tools
- Collaborate closely with UI designers, engineers and technical artists
- Ensure effects are performant across mobile and VR platforms
- Contribute to rendering pipeline improvements and technical tooling
Required Experience
- 5+ years’ experience creating real-time VFX for games
- 2+ years of professional experience using Unity
- This role requires a gaming background. A portfolio link is required with all applications.
- Strong shader programming expertise (HLSL / Shader Graph)
- Deep understanding of rendering pipelines
- Extensive 2D & 3D asset creation experience
- Experience delivering both UI VFX and gameplay VFX
- Solid grasp of timing, motion, physics principles and colour theory
- Experience optimising effects for mobile and/or VR
Nice to Have
- Experience working on shipped mobile or VR titles
- Technical mindset with strong optimisation skills
- Experience building tools within the engine
