We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Materials & Welding Engineer to support a portfolio of subsea and offshore engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute across the full project lifecycle, from tendering through to execution and delivery, within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret client specifications, international standards, and environmental conditions
- Develop material selection documentation and corrosion protection strategies
- Support design reviews, risk assessments, and technical queries
- Review and approve welding and fabrication documentation (WPS, PQR, ITPs, NDE procedures)
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, fabrication, and vendor activities
- Assess and resolve non-conformances, including root cause analysis
- Support supplier qualification and technical evaluations
- Contribute to continuous improvement and technical governance activities
Required Experience
- Degree in Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong experience in materials and welding engineering within subsea, offshore, or oil & gas projects
- Solid understanding of welding processes, qualifications, and NDE techniques
- Experience working within EPC or complex project delivery environments
- Familiarity with international standards (e.g., DNV, ASME, API, ISO, NORSOK)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within fast-paced project environments
Preferred Qualifications
- IWE, NDE Level 3, or equivalent certifications
- Experience supporting subsea systems or production equipment projects
