Responsibilities Present trial concepts, objectives, and treatment details to potential patients for various cellular therapy trials, conducting detailed assessments and screenings to determine eligibility. Participate in the informed consent process and enroll patients on protocol. 80% of the job will be computer-based; direct patient care is limited in a non-RN Clinical Research Coordinator role. Collect and maintain regulatory documents in accordance with USOR SOP and applicable regulations. Participate in scheduling monitoring and auditing visits, and interact with monitors/auditors onsite. Coordinate patient care in compliance with protocol requirements. Collaborate with physicians to review patients for changes in condition, adverse events, medication use, protocol compliance, and response to the drug study; document all findings thoroughly. Work directly with other research bases and/or sponsors. Oversee the preparation of orders by physicians to ensure protocol compliance. Communicate with physicians regarding study requirements, dose modifications, and adverse event reporting. Qualifications Associates degree in a clinical or scientific discipline required. Experience in clinical research preferred. Experience with computer data entry and database management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures such as protocols, informed consent, and regulatory documents. Additional Qualifications for Nurse Candidates Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience, preferably in oncology. Current RN licensure in Virginia preferred. Current BCLS or ACLS certification required. OCN, SoCRA, or ACRP certification preferred. Work Environment The work environment involves exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common in an oncology/hematology clinic. Employees may have direct contact with patients and potential exposure to hazardous substances, including chemotherapeutic agents. Physical Demands Requires full body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for extended periods are necessary, with occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing are required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
