Cummins Mellor has a fantastic opportunity within a local solicitors to join them on a permanent basis.
The role will be to deliver first-class customer service to all customers on the phone and in the office, as well as provide an efficient reception and administrative service.
Main Responsibilities
- Efficiently handle all incoming telephone calls and provide professional support to callers.
- Greet and assist all clients and visitors in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.
- Prepare files for archiving (both on-site and external storage), including data input and retrieval requests.
- Support the cashiers with general filing duties.
- Handle incoming and outgoing recorded/special delivery post.
- Prepare outgoing mail for delivery to the Post Office.
- Process client card payments in person and over the phone.
- Maintain the reception areas appearance and ensure it reflects the firms professional image.
Key Tasks
- Log calls and forward messages to the appropriate team members.
- Provide telephone support to directors and staff as needed.
- Monitor and record staff attendance.
- Allocate meeting rooms upon request from fee-earners or managers.
- Perform various clerical and administrative duties as required.
What we\’re looking for?
- Good communication skills with a professional telephone manner (Essential)
- Personable and professional manner (Essential)
- RSA Level 2 qualification (Essential)
- Computer literacy (Essential)
- Basic knowledge of legal procedures (Desirable)
- Audio typing at 60 words per minute (Desirable)
- Word processing training and/or experience (Desirable)
- Six months work experience as an audio typist, preferably in a legal practice (Desirable)
