We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global law firm, to assist them in their search for a new Early Careers and Professional Development Specialist. This is a new role in their London office, to work as part of their highly collaborative team, whereby the successful applicant will be responsible for leading graduate recruitment, the trainee solicitor programme, and attorney professional development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing graduate recruitment strategy and delivering the annual programme.
  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle for graduate roles and schemes.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with academic institutions.
  • Representing the firm at campus and networking events.
  • Coordinating assessment centres and selection processes, subsequently collating information for offers and contracts.
  • Monitoring competitor and market activity.
  • Managing the training and development programme for trainee solicitors and developing internal guides for the programme.
  • Supporting and monitoring trainee development, qualification processes, and seat rotations.
  • Managing retention processes.
  • Planning and hosting trainee events.
  • Promoting early careers, leading DEI initiatives, and introducing new approaches to candidate development.
  • Communicating with attorneys to understand PD requirements, developing and promoting training programmes.
  • Supporting attorneys with PD goals and assisting with attorney evaluation processes.

Suitable candidates will have gained prior graduate recruitment and trainee solicitor programme experience, ideally within a law firm, although professional services environments will also be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of the UK legal education and SQE processes alongside experience in supporting attorney development is highly desired. We are seeking applicants with exemplary attention to detail, communication, and organisation skills.
