Are you a skilled facilities professional ready to take the lead? The U.S. Embassy London Annex at RAF Croughton is looking for a General Maintenance Lead Technician to keep our world-class facility running at its best. Take charge of day-to-day operations and maintenance across the London Embassy Annex from managing contractors and preventive maintenance programs to practical repairs and infrastructure inspections. You will be the go-to expert keeping our buildings, systems, and grounds in top shape.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and managing a comprehensive Facility Maintenance Plan
- Performing and overseeing maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and more
- Coordinating and supervising contractors and vendors on-site
- Operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment
- Reporting directly to the Facility Manager and advising senior personnel

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.
EDUCATION: Completion of Secondary School is required and/or completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognised as producing journeyman level technicians with a concentration in either HVAC, electrical, plumbing or diesel engine mechanic.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities management, maintenance and operations, including oversight of contractors. Demonstrated performance in the applicant's specific professional vocation.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS & ABILITIES: Applicant shall have a practical understanding of facilities management, which includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other associated skills required for operations and maintenance of a building.
LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge of English; speaking, reading & writing (this may be tested).
