As a Warehouse Handler II, you will play a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations at our Wellington, Somerset facility. A major focus of this role is the picking and packing of orders, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely processing. You will also support the receipt of incoming goods and preparation of items for shipment, while following established procedures and safety standards.
Daily Warehouse Operations
- Pick and pack customer and internal orders with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare items for shipment, including packaging, labelling, and completing required documentation (no staging).
- Ensure the timely and correct shipment of goods in line with operational requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment; follow all PPE and safety procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided if needed).
Receiving & Inspection
- Inspect incoming packages for completeness, accuracy, and visible damage; report discrepancies promptly.
- Record receipts accurately using warehouse systems.
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Supervisor on any damages or shortages.
Inventory Support
- Support cycle counts and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Assist with stock replenishment and goods movement between locations.
- Escalate inventory discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
Data & Documentation
- Use warehouse systems to record picks, receipts, and shipments.
- Complete shipment paperwork and labels to standard.
- Respond to internal queries related to received or shipped items as required.
Organisational Alignment
This position reports to the UK Supply Chain Supervisor. Close collaboration is required with cross-functional teams, encompassing such groups as sales, supply chain, finance and HR.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years related warehouse or logistics experience (preferred).
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities Diploma or Equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail when picking, packing, and processing orders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
- Clear communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Consistent adherence to health, safety, and operating procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and quality-focused.
- Proficiency in utilizing supply chain systems, data analysis tools, such as a TMS, WMS, MiniTab, Power BI, Qlikview and ERP (JDE).
