Day Care Assistant

Location: Urmston Manor M41 9EJ
Hours: 36–44 hours per week (flexible shifts)
Pay: £12.85 per hour

We are looking for a caring and reliable Day Care Assistant to join our friendly team in our residential care home. You will play a key role in supporting residents with their daily needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and a promote quality of life.

What you\’ll do:

• Provide personal care and support with daily living activities
• Support residents with meals, drinks, and nutritional needs.
• Offer companionship, reassurance, and meaningful interaction throughout the day.
• Encourage independence and involvement in activities wherever possible.
• Monitor residents\’ health, well-being, and safety, reporting concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate records, including care notes and handovers.
• Help keep the care home environment clean, safe, and welcoming.
• You will be expected to work on average, 8 night shifts per year, to meet the needs of the home.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible day shifts (36–44 hours per week).
• Experience in care or dementia support is helpful but not essential – training will be provided.
