To support this new project, we are seeking a Programme Manager to join our Capenhurst site. In this role, you will work within our government services function as a key interface between site teams and Group stakeholders to ensure effective planning, coordination and delivery across complex programmes. Your leadership will help enable the successful delivery of new business opportunities and facilities that support both Urenco’s long-term strategy and national priorities.

What you’ll do
- Strategic Programme Leadership: Lead the integration of strategic projects and workstreams to ensure programme objectives are delivered safely on time and within budget. Define, monitor and drive the achievement of strategic and economic programme benefits. Develop and implement programme management processes, procedures and best practice. Act as the programme Subject Matter Expert and primary point of contact. Manage internal, contractor and consultancy resources as required.
- Programme Management & Governance: Work closely with Group Projects, Programme Management Office and Government Contracts teams to establish effective programme management processes and interfaces with existing project delivery frameworks. Ensure robust governance, controls and reporting structures are in place to support successful programme execution.
- Stakeholder Management & Reporting: Lead the production of programme reporting, including status updates, progress reviews, Steering Committees and Executive Committee submissions. Provide clear and timely executive-level reporting, escalating key decisions, risks and issues with supporting recommendations. Foster strong cross-functional relationships, promoting collaboration and alignment across all levels of the organisation. Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and aligned across all stakeholder groups.
- Programme Integration & Delivery: Act on behalf of the Project Sponsor to ensure key accountabilities are effectively managed and informed decision-making is supported. Coordinate and align programme activities across multiple stakeholders and internal groups. Identify and resolve cross-functional issues early to maintain programme momentum and delivery performance. Support the Project Sponsor, Project Manager and Site teams in the successful integration and delivery of the overall programme.
What do you need to thrive in this role?
- Degree-qualified or equivalent relevant experience.
- Project and/or Programme Management qualification.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required level of security clearance.
- Significant experience leading complex strategic programmes, including the delivery of programmes exceeding £100m in value.
- Strong project and programme delivery expertise.
- Experience developing and tracking performance metrics and reporting.
- Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and resolving cross-functional challenges within complex programme environments.
