As a Programme Lead, you will report to the EGDP Programme Manager (E&P), deliver to Project Owners, and within all resource constraints (time, cost, business interruption and people), the combined and discrete programme outcomes defined in the overall UUK Enrichment Group Development Plan (EGDP). This includes management of integrated resource plans to allow Design Managers to resource plan all functions necessary to deliver the individual programme.
You will create, implement and guide junior members of the project management team in developing project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for medium to large sized projects of moderate or greater complexity across the full project lifecycle from project set up, initiation, through implementation and closure, ensuring business benefits are realised and delivered.
What you’ll do:
- You will safely deliver programme objectives compliant with Company Instructions with appropriately informed stakeholders.
- You will manage the consistent production of appropriate project and programme foresight information to regularly inform the EGDP Programme Manager of the predictability of achieving defined business case objectives within budget and time resource constraints.
- Working with the Project Managers / Engineers within the E&P function and Group projects, develop the forward detail in the capital plan to support the 10 year business plan.
- You will plan 12, 24 and 36 month talent and business infrastructure requirements to deliver the programmes objectives within the resources allocated for their completion including coordination of integrated project logistics mapped to the operational businesses requirements.
- Identify and manage all risks to service delivery.
- You will drive accountability and ownership of the management of projects to the Project Managers, ensuring they are actively managing the resources, cost, schedule, interfaces with site functions and the supply chain to successfully deliver their projects across the project lifecycle from concept all the way to handover and commissioning.
- You will act as the key communicator for programme delivery.
What do you need to thrive in this role?
- A technical or business degree or similar (or appropriate industry experience).
- Member of appropriate project management organisation.
- Programme management methodologies for managing successful programmes, managing complex multi-disciplinary programmes in regulated environments.
- Project objectives realisation using Urenco processes, procedures and effective communication at a senior business decision making level.
- Site and construction safety legislation safeguards and practice (CDM, CSCS, & NEBOSH), security protocols, health and environmental legislation and good practice.
- The uranium enrichment process and inherent risks including knowledge of the Urenco business, both from a technical and business perspective.
- Relevant legislation and regulatory philosophies, practice, requirements and guidance, safety, security, safeguards, health and environmental issues.
- The full nuclear licensing lifecycle, relevant codes, standards and guidance.
