The Role
We are supporting a leading environmental services provider who are expanding their field teams ahead of a major contract mobilisation. They are looking for Mechanical Technicians to carry out routine maintenance and operational support across a network of treatment and monitoring sites. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to candidates from a mechanical maintenance, operator or engineering background.
Key Responsibilities
- Strip, inspect, and maintain valves and mechanical components
- Carry out greasing, servicing, and basic repairs
- Take water samples and record operational data
- Perform routine site checks and readings
- Support general maintenance and upkeep of sites
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures
- Report issues and escalate faults where required
- Work independently across multiple sites
What We Are Looking For
- Background in mechanical maintenance, plant operations, or similar
- Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working alone in a field-based role
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Experience in water, utilities, or industrial environments is advantageous but not essential.
