Role Summary
Directs operational activities for Distribution Centre functions to meet People, Process, Cost and Service expectations. Supports and drives continuous improvement efforts. Maintains positive relationships with all internal stakeholders. Leads the team in a way that furthers our culture, helping achieve our vision and values.
What You\\\βll Be Doing
- Lead and engage a department and a team within it, in a way that drives our culture and supports our vision and values.
- Ensures that SOPs are followed and worked to in all operational tasks and that all employees are trained against these SOPs before they are operational, and always ensure compliance.
- Driving and maintaining a great place to work, by following effective communication, promoting H&S best practice, plus maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support, follow and execute first stage people management processes such as development programmes, return to work interviews, investigations, disciplinaries and performance management.
What You\\\βll Need
- Previous experience of managing key operational areas in a distribution/warehousing environment, with a knowledge of end-to-end warehousing processes, ideally gained in a fashion/lifestyle or FMCG environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with a flexible approach to meeting business needs, plus good problem solving and decision-making ability.
- Experience managing a small team, with a proven ability to effectively use a variety of people management tools and processes, in order to achieve operational objectives.
- Skilled at building productive and effective relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with a working knowledge of Warehouse.
- Management Systems and MS Office I.T packages.
