Role Summary
Under guidance from the head office creative team, lead the execution of all visual projects in store to deliver an inspiring, dynamic, and entertaining customer store experience. Collaborate with the display coordinator to deliver seasonal layouts and display schemes that exemplify creative excellence. Partner with peers to communicate and execute seasonal layouts and display schemes across the district.
What You\’ll Be Doing
- Interpret company direction and current fashion trends to develop creative visual merchandising solutions that are market-specific and support sales growth.
- Seek outside inspiration and apply personal talent to contribute unique perspectives to display concepts.
- Lead and collaborate with store managers, display coordinators, and creative teams for innovative project execution.
- Manage the delivery of seasonal display concepts through effective planning, detailed mapping, and timely execution, sharing responsibilities with the display coordinator.
- Communicate seasonal setups via photo layouts submitted quarterly, with guidance from the district creative team.
- Implement all visual merchandising initiatives, window schemes, and styling directions according to company standards.
- Share merchandising concepts, initiatives, and trends with store teams through meetings, walkthroughs, and inspiration boards.
- Inspire team members by sharing ideas and information from Head Office to foster collaboration.
- Delegate projects effectively, allowing team members creative freedom to succeed.
- Coach team members on merchandise placement, standards, promotions, markdown execution, and business analysis.
- Ensure efficient shipment processing to maximize sales.
- Maintain organized office, signage storage, and fixture areas.
- Uphold mystery shop standards and strive for company-average results.
- Build community relationships reflecting urban culture.
What You\’ll Need
- Proven success in driving sales through visual presentation and business insight.
- Understanding of Urban Outfitters\’ culture and appeal to the local market.
- Effective communication skills at all levels and strong organizational abilities.
- Experience in project and time management.
- Willingness to travel and spend time away from a home store.
- Retail management experience with interests in fashion, art, or music.
