Role Summary
The main objective of this role is to support the store management team in achieving a store environment that fosters creativity, employee development, and the VIBE philosophy. To uphold the Urban Outfitters 'Peers Training Peers' philosophy.
What You'll Be Doing
- People: Deliver a positive, friendly experience by engaging customers through conversation and service. Enhance the VIBE by focusing on customers rather than projects during prime selling hours. Provide a store experience that reflects the company's mystery shop standards. Contribute to the overall VIBE in the store by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others. Uphold company standards and act as a positive role model to peers.
- Teamwork & Communication: Work productively within the team and take initiative to collaborate with others toward common goals. Assist in training and developing peers. Communicate positively and effectively with peers. Participate actively in daily and department meetings.
- Operations: Demonstrate proficiency in job knowledge (e.g., tills, shipment tasks, fitting room guidelines). Participate in processing new shipments and help keep receiving and back stock areas organized. Assist in completing weekly tasks such as markdowns, re-tickets, transfers, and RTVs accurately and on time. Be aware of loss prevention guidelines and comply with all inventory control measures. Adhere to company health & safety regulations at all times.
- Merchandising & Display: Maintain store merchandising and cleanliness standards. Ensure merchandise is ticketed and the sales floor is well-stocked. Support sales through merchandising and display projects. Stay informed about current products and trends.
What You'll Need
- Previous experience in retail is preferred but not required.
