Role Summary

The main objective of this role is to support the store management team in achieving a store environment that fosters creativity, employee development, and the VIBE philosophy. To uphold the Urban Outfitters \’Peers Training Peers\’ philosophy.

What You\’ll Be Doing

People:

• Deliver a positive, friendly experience by engaging customers through conversation and service.
• Enhance the VIBE by focusing on customers rather than projects during prime selling hours.
• Provide a store experience that reflects the company\’s mystery shop standards.
• Contribute to the overall VIBE in the store by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others.
• Uphold company standards and act as a positive role model to peers.

Teamwork & Communication:

• Work productively within the team and take initiative to collaborate with others toward common goals.
• Assist in training and developing peers.
• Communicate positively and effectively with peers.
• Participate actively in daily and department meetings.

Operations:

• Demonstrate proficiency in job knowledge (e.g., tills, shipment tasks, fitting room guidelines).
• Participate in processing new shipments and help keep receiving and back stock areas organized.
• Assist in completing weekly tasks such as markdowns, re-tickets, transfers, and RTVs accurately and on time.
• Be aware of loss prevention guidelines and comply with all inventory control measures.
• Adhere to company health & safety regulations at all times.

Merchandising & Display:

• Maintain store merchandising and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure merchandise is ticketed and the sales floor is well-stocked.
• Support sales through merchandising and display projects.
• Stay informed about current products and trends.

What You\’ll Need

• Previous experience in retail is preferred but not required.
• An awareness of the Urban Outfitters brand and its appeal to the local market.
• Strong communication skills.
