Location: Covent Garden Head Office and other Zone 1 London locations

Salary: £38,000 - £44,000 (depending on level of experience).

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, motivated IT professional that is eager to grow their skills and take on more dynamic responsibility to enhance service delivery and contribute to operational excellence. You’ll work closely with our IT Director and Senior IT Engineer as well as our IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) to support and maintain our technology estate. This is a varied role, and you will work with and develop a wide range of technologies used by both our staff and our tenants. Our day-to-day IT support is now primarily handled by our MSP and this role focuses on infrastructure, projects and in-person technical tasks. You’ll be encouraged to drive your own projects with guidance and support from the team, upholding a culture of excellence both in terms of tech solutions and security posture.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-User Hardware & Device Management
    • Manage corporate devices throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, setup, and retirement
    • Track and maintain hardware inventory stock
    • Identify opportunities to improve hardware standards and user experience
    • Administer directory and MDM systems to ensure compliance and control
  • IT Support
    • Oversee support provided by third-party MSPs, ensuring quality and responsiveness
    • Handle urgent or escalated support tasks that require in-person intervention
    • Provide support for systems not covered by third parties
    • Carry out ad-hoc support tasks and physical IT support when needed
  • Property Technology Maintenance
    • Maintain and troubleshoot systems across our student communities
    • Manage student printers, CCTV systems, AV setups, and digital signage
  • IT Projects
    • Collaborate with business teams on IT projects, including new software and hardware rollouts
    • Assist the IT team and MSP in managing Microsoft 365 services along with supporting other cloud-based software systems
    • Maintain IT support and training documentation on the corporate intranet
  • Technology Culture
    • Build a strong working relationship with colleagues to ensure IT meets their needs
    • Maintain IT support and training documentation
    • Contribute to building and maintaining a positive business culture for IT security and data protection
What you will need
  • At least 2 years experience in IT support, infrastructure or related IT role
  • A friendly and helpful approach with colleagues
  • Willing to learn, grow and help others to do the same
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Understanding of the principles of IT security and data protection
  • Good IT problem-solving skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills. Able to explain problems & solutions in non-technical terms
