The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Salary: Competitive salary plus bonus and benefits.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm.

If you\’re an experienced energy professional looking to make a real impact, this is your opportunity to drive meaningful change across our communities. We’re seeking a passionate and strategic Energy Performance Manager, to lead the development and execution of energy strategies that align with our sustainability and carbon-reduction goals. You’ll monitor energy usage across all our communities, using data insights to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and identify improvement opportunities. Collaborating with onsite, maintenance, and development teams, you’ll ensure energy efficiency is embedded in daily operations. You’ll also lead audits, ensure regulatory compliance, promote energy awareness among our residents and staff, and champion innovative technologies and sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or oversee metering strategy, ensuring all utility meters and sub-meters are identified and integrated correctly.
  • Develop and implement energy performance strategies aligned with our sustainability goals.
  • Monitor and analyse energy usage across all communities, using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with the BMS engineer to assess and improve BMS connectivity across thermostats, heating/cooling plant, FCUs, Air Source Heat Pumps and set-point controls.
  • Support the integration of energy data into Power BI, including defining data points and data-flow requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage small engineering projects relating to meter upgrades, sensors and BMS enhancements.
  • Review and validate BMS/EMS performance data to identify system faults, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with onsite, maintenance, and development teams to ensure energy efficiency is prioritised in day-to-day operations and new developments.
  • Lead energy audits and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and reporting standards.
  • Promote energy conservation by engaging residents and team members with advice and resources.
  • Recommend new technologies and sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact.
  • Act as the key contact for energy management, working with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Report on key metrics related to energy usage and sustainability, supporting the senior management team with regular updates and improvement proposals.
  • Support training and onboarding programmes to improve awareness of energy efficiency across all teams.

Skills and experience we\’re looking for

  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • An understanding of building services systems, including HVAC, controls and plant operation.
  • Experience in energy management, engineering, environmental management or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate reports, and present findings clearly.
  • Previous consultant with hands-on technical experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to deliver best-in-class service whilst driving environmental improvements.
