Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Building Assistants work 5 days out of 7, between the hours of 7:30am - 8:30pm. Weekends and bank holidays will be required on a rota basis.
We are looking for a friendly and proactive Building Assistant to be the first point of contact for our residents and guests. This role is key to ensuring residents receive outstanding service and support, helping create a positive living environment. You will also have great skills with organising parcels and participating in resident social events.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and university partners.
- Solve resident problems, including communicating maintenance issues to the team.
- Process all incoming post and parcel deliveries using our parcel management system.
- Conduct regular parcel audits to maintain accuracy and minimise discrepancies.
- Deliver parcels directly to resident flats where required.
- Assist with conducting building walks covering communal areas and flats ensuring residents enjoy a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Assist with running social events in partnership with universities.
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive, solution-focused attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team player who works closely with colleagues across teams to deliver top-quality service.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Safety procedures.
- A willingness to wear a lone-working device during shifts and ensure your personal safety.
- Ideally have strong organisational skills.
