As a Portfolio Accountant, you’ll find yourself working with a team of talented people who are committed to driving financial improvement, scalability, and customer experience. As part of the urbanbubble finance team, the role will be varied and challenging, supporting a large (and growing) property management business. You will support the Finance Manager to ensure all accounting tasks, including management accounts (P&L / BS), are done to a high standard and in line with business deadlines.

What will you do?
- Preparation of monthly client reporting working to strict deadlines, ensuring that all financial information is checked and accurate.
- Attend monthly client/ops meetings to assess site performance.
- Support operational team by producing commercial analysis to drive improved performance.
- Reporting to the internal team of performance against budget on operating costs on a monthly basis.
- Review monthly expenditure against budgeted expenditure.
- Manage monthly rent rolls and charges for tenants.
- Manage all financial aspects of tenant move-ins and deposit treatment.
- Manage all client & tenant information relating to billings & budget.
- Implementing, establishing and improving processes and collaborating with other teams to improve processes and service.
- Responsible for all financial transactions up to Trial Balance level.
- To be responsible for the electronic record keeping for all financial transactions on the third-party software chosen by the Company.
- Support preparation of the annual site OPEX budgets through modelling and analysis.
- Support Client audits on an annual basis.
- Support Client Due diligence work.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to the Client and financial modelling to the internal team as and when required.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a medium/large size finance team is required.
- Experience in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting records of designated portfolios preferably within the property sector or something of a similar nature.
- Practical experience in core accounting.
- Experience producing management accounts to a high standard in a timely manner.
- Great communication skills, particularly in terms of presenting financial information to non-finance people, both verbally and in writing.
- Flexible with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- Able to work on own initiative and manage own workload to strict deadlines.
- IT literate, with particular competence in spreadsheets/Excel (advanced) and finance systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications required
- CIMA/ACCA/AAT/QBE or qualified by experience.
