Join to apply for the Pool Leisure Attendant - Part time role at urbanbubble. We’re searching for a Pool Leisure Attendant to join our team on a part time basis supporting our Oxygen site in Manchester! This role would be 8 hours per week on a Friday between 6am - 2.30pm. We are open to speaking to candidates who can work one, two, or all of the above shifts each week.
What will you do?
- Supervise the security and safety of the residents ensuring enjoyment in all areas of the wet leisure facilities.
- Comply with the wet leisure PSOP (Pool Safety Operating Procedures) at all times.
- React effectively to any emergencies following the PSOP and RLSS (Pool Lifeguard Qualification) guidance.
- Carry out daily Health and safety inspections of the wet leisure areas.
- Complete legal and preventative maintenance of the plant room including water testing, backwashing and chemical handling.
- Ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained at all times.
- Pro‑actively deal with any maintenance and problems identified.
- To fix, repair, maintain or clean any area or problem if able to do so (i.e. light bulb changes).
- The ability to remain calm during difficult situations.
- To assist in the opening and closing of the wet leisure facility whilst maintaining high security.
- To work a mixture of early, late and weekend shifts on a rotation basis.
- To attend ongoing training required for the role.
- To handle general enquiries, queries and complaints from residents in a professional manner.
- To prepare the accurate paperwork for residents and guests, prior to using the wet leisure facility.
- To respond to maintenance requests and arranging for works to be carried out.
- Monitor CCTV / Resident Screening Wet Leisure Patrol / Safety Checks.
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Must be able to swim.
- NPLQ Qualification or RLSS Qualification.
- Previous work as a Lifeguard.
- Customer Service experience.
Desirable
- First Aid trained.
- Pool plant operations level 2.
- Gym instructor qualification, or equivalent.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as other systems such as databases or booking systems.
