Role Overview
Community Host – Day
£28,000 – £31,000 per annum
Basic DBS check required.
The role
You will act as the face of our co‑living building based in Harrow, engaging with residents, their friends and family to make them feel relaxed in their home. The role focuses on service delivery with a human and informal approach, inviting people who enjoy meeting new people. Shift: 8 am – 8 pm on a 4‑on, 4‑off pattern.
Duties
- Meeting and greeting residents and visitors
- Welcoming new residents and preparing welcome packs
- Managing and responding to general inquiries via phone, email and other channels
- Key and parcel management
- Rectifying any unplanned cleaning emergencies and proactively dealing with minor maintenance issues
- Co‑ordinating, instructing and allowing access for services to the development
- Recording, monitoring and responding to resident feedback
- Managing booking of meetings and event spaces for residents and external guests
- Providing clear and concise handover to the day team arriving on shift
- Conducting daily building walks and monitoring CCTV
Ideal candidate
- Experience in a customer‑facing service role; front desk or concierge experience not required
- Night shift experience (preferred)
- Exceptional customer service skills and a natural people person who can quickly build rapport
- Highly organised with the ability to make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Confident with IT software and systems
