Assisting with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other rights requests
- Monitoring the data protection inbox and responding to enquiries
- Escalating complex or high-risk issues to the DPO
- Supporting investigations into potential data breaches and incidents
Compliance & Governance
- Maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPA)
- Supporting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
- Assisting with policy and procedure reviews
- Helping with compliance monitoring, audits and quality checks
- Supporting privacy and cookie compliance across company websites
Business Support & Training
- Providing practical data protection guidance to colleagues
- Working with teams across the business to improve data handling practices
- Supporting the creation and delivery of training and awareness initiatives
- Helping promote a positive culture of privacy and accountability
We're more interested in your attitude and potential than ticking every box, but experience or knowledge in the following would be beneficial:
- An understanding of UK GDPR and data protection principles
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Microsoft Purview experience is advantageous)
- Experience working with records, information management or compliance processes
- Exposure to legal, audit, risk or governance activities
- Project coordination and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications (desirable, not essential)
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject such as Law, Computer Science or similar
- Foundation-level Data Protection qualification
- CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT or equivalent certifications
