The role is based in Manchester at our offices in the Northern Quarter, with the opportunity to work a few days from home once fully established in role and according to business needs.

What will you do?

  • Ensure that all people-related administration is accurate and up-to-date, including the content of all personal files stored on the HR/ People system

  • Eork with the People Manager to ensure continuous improvement of existing people policies and processes – to develop, streamline and maintain processes; to challenge the status quo and drive improvement across the organisation

  • Act as the ‘super user’ and expert for the HR/ People system, ensuring that all stored data is accurate and up-to-date, and held in compliance with GDPR principles

  • Use technology to produce reports and drive efficiencies in how people and processes are managed, from beginning to end of the employment relationship

  • Provide guidance and support on people administrative matters to colleagues and managers

  • Support the Recruitment Team where necessary with new starter activity: drafting employment contracts and setting up personal files in the shared drive

  • Be responsible for requesting references, carrying out relevant employment checks, setting up personal files on the HR/ People system, notifying relevant departments (IT, L&D, Finance and Business Change), adding to relevant Teams channels

  • Administer all other processes such as contract variations, maternity/paternity leave requests, leavers, benefits/payroll administration etc

  • Take the lead on updating and maintaining records from The Company Org Chart, Bubble Resources and areas personal files are stored

  • Support with sending exit interviews to all leavers and collate the data for analysis.

  • Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring all monthly payroll actions are recorded, relevant supporting documents are provided and point of contact for all colleagues in business in relation to pay queries/advice.

The HR & Payroll Coordinator role plays a vital part in the HR team! We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver an effective people service to the business., * Experience of working within a fast-paced HR/ People team.

  • Experience of working with a HR system or database.

  • Basic understanding of HR/ People procedures.

  • Experience managing payroll administration

  • Experience of developing brand new HR/ People processes and implementing them within a HR/ People team.

  • Experience of using Survey Monkey.

  • Flexible and proactive approach to workload.

  • Positive and can do attitude.

  • Confident in communicating at all levels.

  • Focus and commitment to deliver plans and meet deadlines.

  • Wherever possible, takes ownership of enquiries and sees things through to the end.

  • Checks own work for quality and accuracy, and strives to exceed expectations.

  • Calm under pressure.

  • Seeks and puts forward new ideas to continuously improve the way we do things.

Desirable:

  • CIPD (or actively working towards it)

The role attracts an annual salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience. In addition, you will benefit from 23 days holiday per year plus 8 Bank Holidays, your birthday off and enhanced sick pay with service. We also have a range of other amazing benefits!
