About The Role:
The Housekeeping Supervisor performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing Urban Rest properties and hotel rooms, including bedrooms, baths, kitchens, living areas, and communal spaces as directed by the National Housekeeping Manager. This role works closely with Operations and the broader Urban Rest Guest Experience.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily cleans are performed in accordance with brand standards
- Train and develop team members to meet required standards
- Complete and record applicable checklists per clean or inspection
- Coordinate jobs and tasks with the Housekeeping Manager
- Monitor performance of attendants and mitigate potential impacts on guest experience
- Maintain high attention to detail as outlined by the National Housekeeping Manager
- Ensure compliance with WHS, chemical handling, and safety procedures
- Complete apartment/room cleans to a high standard when required
- Manage reject linen with attendants and relevant managers
- Report damages to stock, apartments/rooms, or furniture
- Ensure security of assigned units and privacy of guests
- Perform and oversee rotation cleaning duties as required
- Anticipate guests’ needs and maintain positive guest relations
- Be familiar with all Urban Rest services/features and local attractions
- Resolve guest complaints or report to the Housekeeping Manager
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Contribute to guest satisfaction in terms of cleanliness and presentation
- Update status of units cleaned in the Housekeeping System
- Return housekeeping packs, equipment, and keys at the end of shift
