Barista – Urban Reef

Urban Reef is looking for an experienced, passionate Barista to join our beachfront team.

This is a hands‑on role working across our main bar and takeaway area, creating consistently excellent coffee in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment. You’ll take real pride in quality, presentation and service, while helping to create a welcoming experience for everyone visiting Urban Reef.

What we’re looking for

• Extensive coffee knowledge, including extraction, dialling in, milk texturing and maintaining consistency during busy service
  
• Excellent latte art skills — essential
  
• Previous experience in a high‑volume café, restaurant or bar setting
  
• A confident, friendly and professional approach to customer service
  
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider bar and restaurant team
  
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organisation and stock rotation
  
• Food‑handling experience, with an understanding of hygiene, allergen awareness and safe food preparation
  
• Availability to work a mixture of weekdays, weekends and holidays
  

The role

• Preparing and serving high‑quality coffees, teas, iced drinks and other beverages
  
• Producing consistent latte art and maintaining Urban Reef’s coffee standards
  
• Working from both the main bar and takeaway counter
  
• Assisting with takeaway food preparation and handling, following all food hygiene and allergen procedures
  
• Keeping coffee equipment, bar areas and takeaway stations clean, organised and fully stocked
  
• Delivering warm, efficient service in a busy seafront setting
  
• Supporting the wider team during restaurant and event service where needed
