Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled Assistant General Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. We're looking for a service focused DGM for the Duchess of Kensington, a recent new opening that has out-stripped all expectations, particularly on food.
The ideal candidate should enjoy premium service, have a good knowledge of fresh food and seasonality, and enjoy selling good wine and enhancing dining experiences, as well as having all the core skills of a pub deputy general manager.
The Duchess of Kensington is an elegant pub located in the heart of Kensington, offering a menu of elevated pub classics and a fast-paced all-day trade with a high food mix.
The Role
As Deputy General Manager you will support the General Manager in all aspects of running the venue. Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction. You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.
What we are looking for:
- Take ownership, be bold and run the business as if it's your own.
- Must have minimum 2 years' experience as a manager.
- Solid communication and organisational skills.
- Superb customer & floor service skills.
- Strong all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction.
- Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team.
- Personal License holder beneficial.
