Urban Paws Agency is seeking a highly motivated and confident salesperson with business acumen to act as an ‘Animal Agent’, to recruit the perfect pets and match them to the right project. The role involves identifying and creating new opportunities and using their marketing expertise to close sales. As a growing business, we need an influential and independent negotiator, who can work closely and positively with a small team to achieve targets – meeting these targets will then trigger regular incentives based on commission. Creativity and innovation is the key to remaining industry leaders, so our Animal Agent must be proactive and engaged in providing exceptional customer service and maximising our client base.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Point of contact for the business; first point-of-contact answering queries with B2B and B2C (clients and animal owners) over the phone, via email, and occasionally social media – confidently, and to a wide range of levels.

Acting as a company representative to business partners, stakeholders, and the public.

Supporting the team and assisting with CEO workload.

Maintaining and updating Urban Paws databases (Excel and Google Drive).

Evaluate the success of the organisation; identifying internal weaknesses, whilst being aware of any opportunities the business can leverage.

Identifying and generating new business leads to maximise our client base.

Cold-calling and persuasive selling to secure prospective clients.

Creatively and articulately selling a broad range of animals (e.g. dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, birds etc.).

Suggesting and designing creative and innovative marketing ideas for animals, clients, and product promotion.

Keeping up to date with current animal and advertising trends. Predicting demand for upcoming events, trends, seasonal holidays etc.

Tactfully negotiating fees and contracts with clients.

Obtaining and verifying customer information to ensure that we have all the necessary information to provide a smooth delivery.

Continually ensuring that animal welfare is the top priority.

Providing support and advice to clients on working with animals, and managing all queries.

Organising the logistics of animal transport, accommodation, and anything else necessary for the project.

Travelling to meet clients and owners at locations outside of the office.

Working outside of office hours can be expected to meet the demands of the business.

Working closely and collaboratively with colleagues in a positive manner.

Ensuring confidentiality and compliance at every stage in the process.

Competitive commission only salary – negotiable based upon experience.

Working towards targets, you can expect to receive a bonus based on commission. This is also subject to experience, and completion of your probation period.
