Role Summary
This role sits in URBN, our shared service function, within the HR & Talent Department. URBN supports and works across all brands and business areas. Personality and approach will be as important as your experience. You need to be resilient yet flexible, commercial yet empathetic, professional, driven and focused with your sights firmly set on achieving results.
We are seeking an experienced Head of Recruitment to lead our talent acquisition efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies to meet the company’s hiring needs and support its growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in recruitment and a proven track record of attracting top talent.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive and roll out recruitment strategies to attract top talent across all levels of the organization.
- Own the high- exec level recruitment directly, overseeing the entire recruitment process, from job posting and candidate screening to interviewing and onboarding.
- Lead, mentor and manage the recruitment team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand their hiring needs and create tailored recruitment plans.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including social media, job boards, and industry networks, to identify and engage potential candidates.
- Oversee the management of the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment tools to ensure efficient operations
- Drive initiatives to attract a diverse talent pool, ensuring the company remains an employer of choice within the fashion retail industry.
- Stay up to date on latest recruitment trends and industry best practice
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on recruitment metrics, progress, and key challenges.
- Drive a positive candidate experience, ensuring alignment with the brand’s core values at every touchpoint of the recruitment process
What You’ll Need
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end recruitment processes and delivering an outstanding candidate experience
- An understanding of the different functions and approaches required when sourcing across retail, head office & distribution
- Experience of implementing a recruitment strategy along with managing and coaching teams
- Ability to manage functional leaders, impacting and influencing at all levels in order to gain trust
- Strong organisational and planning skills; able to multitask and work under pressure
- Ability to prioritise a varied and busy workload for yourself and your team
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to acquire, gather and synthesize information
