Role Summary

Free People is seeking an experienced Visual Manager to enhance visual merchandising and support sales in our wholesale stores and showrooms across Europe. This role involves frequent travel, staff training, and collaboration with sales teams to drive our brand\’s presence.

What You\’ll Be Doing

  1. Stores/Sales:
  2. Visit prospective stores to support merchandising, display, stock, and selling.
  3. Communicate weekly with floor managers about floor moves, events, opportunities, and customer profiles.
  4. Request images of stores and provide visual and commercial feedback.
  5. Manage and train store staff to drive sales and achieve targets.
  6. Support stock, inventory, and stockroom management.
  7. Host training seminars and create product training packs monthly.
  8. Launch store initiatives and support in-store events to boost sales.
  9. Collaborate with sales team on reorder proposals and product packages.
  10. Assist in buying appointments with customer and visual support.
  11. Log and report sales data and bestsellers weekly.
  1. Store Projects:
  2. Coordinate wholesale shop-in-shops and in-store events.
  3. Propose pop-up and in-store event opportunities.
  1. Showrooms:
  2. Oversee market appointment preparation and ensure showroom standards align with NY.
  3. Maintain market presentation and introduce new ideas.
  4. Support EU partners with collection launches, directives, and visual merchandising.
  5. Coordinate orders for VM elements and support store launches and tradeshows.
  6. Source and distribute visual props for showrooms and projects.
  7. Manage collection launches and ensure showroom readiness.
  8. Work with sample team on timely deliveries and visual updates.
  9. Dress mannequins and maintain showroom presentation for collections and events.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in visual merchandising, retail management, or related fields.
  • Passion for Free People and understanding of the brand.
  • Strong merchandising, display techniques, and stock management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Creative flair and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and event coordination experience.
  • Flexibility to travel across Europe.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages, especially French, are a plus.
