Join our payroll team as a Payroll Administrator, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring our 3,500+ employees across Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, and Free People are paid accurately and on time in the UK and EU. This fast-paced role is perfect for a highly organised professional with a sharp eye for detail and precision with data entry. - Ownership of monthly payroll data (via Payroll system) such as starters, leavers, and changes.
- Maintenance of timekeeping system (Kronos) for starters, leavers, and changes.
- Preparation and posting of journals and full reconciliation.
- Assisting with pension queries (automatic enrolment and opt-out).
- Maintain and develop relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Work closely with HR to support with benefit processes, pre and post payroll processing.
- Ensure all payroll related issues are handled in the most efficient and timely manner possible.
- Assist the wider payroll team with any other ad-hoc tasks.
- Keep up to date with new legislation, ensuring policies and procedures are correctly in place and documented.
- Liaise with HM Revenue and Customs.
- Proactively audit the payroll information received to ensure there is appropriate authorisation.
- Ensure all colleagues are paid in accordance with agreed timetables.
- Knowledge of manual payroll calculations, PAYE/NIC and statutory payments when running payrolls e.g., redundancy, SMP/SAP, SPP and SSP.
- Help where necessary with current projects to deliver corporate objectives.
- Look at current issues; feel confident to make suggestions on where to resolve.
- Ensuring operational service reviews take place monthly to ensure the delivery standards are managed against the service level agreements.
