Role Summary
The ideal candidate will be an experienced self‑manager with commercial fashion retail experience. Speed and accuracy of decision making is key, so history working in a fast‑paced commercial business is critical. This role will suit someone capable of managing project work whilst also running the day‑to‑day demands of a busy department.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Drive and maintain departmental standards, ensuring all garments excel in fit, performance, and customer satisfaction while strictly adhering to global legislation.
  • Take full ownership of assigned product classes.
  • Conduct live model fittings and execute deep technical, investigative work to deliver flawless products.
  • Effectively communicate with our global supply chain, manage factory bases (supporting ethical compliance), and contribute insights to our overarching sourcing strategy.
  • Analyse and approve fabric/garment test reports, monitor quality control, and deep dive into product returns to implement corrective actions.
  • Partner closely with Buying, Design, and internal technical teams, as well as cross‑functional stakeholders across the EU and North America.

What You’ll Need

  • Deep knowledge of fabric, garment construction, measuring, and multi‑product manufacturing.
  • Strong technical drawing and pattern‑cutting skills are essential (experience with 3D pattern‑cutting tools is a great bonus).
  • A proven history of making smart, prompt, and flexible commercial decisions under pressure.
  • An exceptional self‑manager who builds strong, collaborative relationships across global borders.
  • Understanding of the Urban Outfitters brand and customer.
