Urban Greens is a London-based salad brand, founded 6 years ago with a mission to change how people experience salads - food that tastes as good as it makes you feel, served in spaces people genuinely love returning to. With six stores today, we are entering an exciting growth phase, with new openings planned this year and beyond.
To support this next chapter, we’re looking for a high-calibre Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations and play a key leadership role in our expansion. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and knows how to scale without losing culture.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will lead daily operations across multiple sites, drive commercial performance, and foster a high-performance, people-focused culture. You’ll be the operational backbone of the business - trusted, respected, decisive, and accountable. This role requires someone who gets things done, leads with confidence, solves problems quickly, and takes initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily operations across multiple Urban Greens sites
- Ensure consistently high standards of service, food quality, and operational execution
- Build scalable systems and processes to support business growth
- Act as the go-to operational decision-maker, resolving issues quickly and effectively
- Support and lead new site openings from planning through to launch and stabilisation
- Own and drive commercial performance across the business
- Monitor and manage KPIs including labour, stock, wastage, margins, and overall site profitability
- Work closely with finance to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, revenue, and profitability
- Lead, coach, and develop store managers
- Be visible, approachable, and respected across all levels of the business
- Uphold Urban Greens’ people-first values while driving strong operational standards
- Partner with senior leadership on operational strategy and growth plans
- Translate business goals into clear operational priorities
- Continuously improve systems, structures, and ways of working
About You
- 5–8 years’ experience in an Operations role
- Proven experience working in people-focused hospitality brands
- Experience managing multiple sites and large teams
- Strong background in financial management
- Experience supporting or leading new site openings
