About the role
Urban Foresight has some exciting opportunities to join its consultancy teams in Newcastle and Dundee. These include:
- Economic development - advising on local investments to improve lives, create jobs, and unlock the potential of places.
- Transport - user-centric, sustainable transport systems with new modes, operating models, and technologies.
- Net zero and clean energy - helping places and organisations shape practical pathways to decarbonisation.

You will be responsible for:
- Finding important information for projects by researching topics and quickly understanding the key issues.
- Analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
- Effectively sharing findings through clear verbal communication and written reports.
- Organising information and documentation to help manage projects.
- Supporting the delivery of workshops, interviews with external stakeholders, and client meetings.
- Contributing to bid writing and helping to win new contracts.
You will be required to attend the office regularly to allow close collaborative working with your colleagues.
Skills and experience
You will be ambitious, intellectually curious, and motivated by opportunities to improve places and public services. As an ideal candidate, you would have:
- Degree, preferably to Masters level.
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think logically and be methodical.
- Experience of working in a tight-knit team.
- Ability to use initiative but know when to ask for help.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- IT proficiency, especially MS Office.
- Enthusiasm, willing to learn, and happy to go that extra mile.
