KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe role requires a candidate who is able to drive and work across multi-sites (mobile nature). The majority of works in this role will be located in and around Northampton, Stoke on Trent, Coventry, Lincolnshire, Birmingham, and Manchester. You may be asked to travel further afield on occasion, in a range of different types of buildings including housing, commercial, sheltered housing, hospitals, schools, and public buildings.
- Water Hygiene Risk Assessments
- Temperature taking and monitoring of hot and cold-water systems
- Cold water tank inspections / surveys
- Carrying out Water Sampling
- Servicing, testing and maintenance of thermostatic mixing valves (TMV)
- Chlorination and disinfection of water systems
- Using our bespoke digital logbook system CAT-Si
Advanced Legionella Awareness training Certification or Equivalent Required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEKnowledge
- Up to date knowledge of HSE ACoP L8 (Legionella Bacteria Control in Water Systems)
- Knowledge of how to carry out the cleaning and disinfecting of water systems
- Basic plumbing knowledge is advantageous
Advanced Legionella Risk Assessor Skills
- Able to prioritise work within deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and an exemplar representative of Urban Environments
- Able to use a PDA to receive and complete jobs
- Able to work to own initiative as well as in a team
- Able to problem solve and find solutions that are practicable and cost effective to the business
Minimum three years of experience working in legionella water monitoring on hot and cold water. Experience in carrying out water tank inspections surveys. Experience in carrying out hot water vessel inspections surveys. Experience in conducting microbiological sampling.
SPECIAL FACTORSThe successful candidate will:
- Be fluent in English
- Be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as per Urban's terms of employment
- Have a full UK driving licence (Mandatory)
